Cold tea is supposed to be good. How bad is the burn, is it deep, minor, big, small, is the skin broken, !!!!!...If the skin is broken I wouldn't put anything on, altho I do have a friend who had this marvellous stuff that they use in hospital, it's like a bandage with all this liquid in it that keeps the burn hydrated and means it heals better

I try to follow occasionally and use flylady methods at home but have slipped horribly since I started working a couple of night shifts a week and am even worse in recent months since an injury has got worse and worse and I'm often in pain. I would love to try follow your plans this week as motivation. I need to crisis clean tomorrow as my son is bringing a friend home from school. I won't post very much as I do find the laptop is my biggest distraction, followed closely by the kettle!:o My hubbys birthday on Thursday it would be a nice treat for him if I can get the house back in order a little. Thank you to Pigpen for still being here after so long, fantastic!:T

  • Hi all
I missed the end of last week but i'm in again this week please!
  • Thank you Toots and Rosepink it was a shock at the time but I'm sort of getting used to the idea of being 59 and having to go and look for a job. Was hoping I would be OK until next year May or thereabouts but reality is always different...Anyway main aim is to clean house and declutter and sell lots of things and MSE at all times, and you ladies have been an inspiration to me. Roll on Monday (am not starting tonight, my bed is calling)

    Sleep well everyone zzzzzz

I'll try and be in though i probably won't get loads done and we go away sat so I won't get my usual catch up done! Still, it had a good going over this week so a S&S should keep it ok..

Just going to clean my teeth etc and am ready for bed, am shattered tonight! have a good day tomorrow all.

    valli -
you need something like tegaderm, it's almost like plastic stuff you put over the burn. Best bet is to pop into a pharmacy if you can.

Valli - cling film is the way to go when dressing a burn. Put on overnight, then expose to air during the day. I managed to burn my hand quite badly last year with hot oil (reckoning I was rick stein in the kitchen!) Doc recommended not applying any creams and expose to air as much as poss to allow to heal, but to cover with cling film when doing anything where it my get dirty/knocked.

Fedup - how about Rufus for your dog?

Mudbath - hope DS ok, a sample would be a good idea

Made pack ups and dried hair to a fashion! Atempted to have a dry evening, but decided to have a little nightcap ;)

DS1 just come back downstairs - a bout of mondayitis looming methinks
