Another ooopps moment. Got kittens about 3 weeks ago - allegedly 2 brothers, aged 5 months. So no real urgency to get them neutered. However, hmm hmm, they are actually brother and sister, (hadn't really checked before, trusted the lady I got them off)
So now its time for frantic calls to CPL and get them done before I have the pitter patter of tiny paws:o

    Morning all

Pigpen - I am so very sorry to hear of your nephew's dreadful accident, love to you and your family, his poor mum (your sister?).

Boddy - congratulations on being coming a Great Grandmother (again)

Soappie – when you mentioned what had happened I have to admit I googled it and found that article and wondered if it was that. Despicable!

I did that too: and thought the same

I need to finish my dailies and get to pilates. Builder friend has been here all morning measuring up and chatting about the work we are planning

After such dreadful news, it feels almost wrong to be chatting about Mundane Monday's stuff, but I have finished (at last) though it took me Monday and Wednesday to get there. So here goes:

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room :T
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter worksurfaces
    Sweep and mop floors[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe worksurfaces and see if you can do those small appliances on the way round[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe fronts of units and large appliances[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Defrost and clean out the freezer[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Clean out the fridge[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wipe the hob and oven[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean the table and replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]

I've also gone on a serious spider hunt - we seem to have trillions of those 'Daddy-Long-Legs' spiders (Cellar Spiders/pholcus phalangioides) in our house (it's old), and they multiply enormously. As well as having untidy straggling webs, they are nasty things: they eat ordinary hairy house-spiders, and just take over (every cupboard, every corner). They're not native species, either: they come from the Tropics. So I'm afraid that they get the dustette treatment. But it feels like a losing battle sometimes: they hide in the timbers, and in the uneven plasterwork/niches.

I'm kind to other spiders: I catch them and throw them over the fence into my neighbour's garden!:rotfl:

Update re DD1's birthday pressie, I had a flash of inspiration too (like Greenbee and her Dad's gift) and we've got her a Pandora bracelet.

Thanks to Lil-Me for the idea from ages ago...how it popped back into my head, gawd knows.:D

I kind of wanted to get her something to remind her that she is loved and cared about despite being quite obnoxious sometimes....something that she can keep and add to.

We've each bought her a bead, from us, signifying something personal from us.

I bought the bracelet from Pandora but got the beads from Half Price Jewellers (MSE all the way ;)), OH bought his bead from Pandora because he couldn't find the HPJ.

I got her a heart, DD2 got her a dangley heart and OH got her a shoe because she loves shoes!!:rotfl:

Also thats christmas pressies sorted too as we can add to her charms.

Flying wise I've done a washing machine load

    Wiped kitchen worktops

    Brought washing in from outside.

greenbee-Got my parcel today! Thankyou so much, no more cup mesuring!!! ps.........did you use a whole flaming roll of parcel tape? took me god only knows how long to get into it, and i spilt my cuppa tea in the process as i slipped lol

About half a roll... I wanted to make sure it got there in one piece!

I now have a covered cake and board for my dad's cake, and a trial run for the model of the boat.

Must get changed and head off for the hairdresser. Hopefully I'll have time to nip into the cookshop and see whether they've got any gadgets that might help with the cake!

Sorry to read your sad news Pigpen.

    Congratulations Boddy :)

Afternoon all, not caught up properly yet but I have finished today's list. I've also done the computer desk etc in lieu of a study but the bathroom will wait until tomorrow.

Chilli is cooking for dinner so I'll try to catch up until it's ready. I hope things get easier for everybody soon.

:D Is that because you saw "Pandora charm" on my list :rotfl:

Off to tidy the kitchen again, cross more off my list, then get ready to go out to DD's parents' evening.
