Once upon a time, in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The frog hopped into the Princess' lap.
"Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome Prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young Prince that I am! Then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in yon castle with my Mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so."
That night, on a repast of lightly sauteed frogs legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled to herself.
"I don't f-ing think so."

Dunkied a few Digestives into my brew and I'm now contemplating going into the living room, closing the curtains, wrapping up in a fleecy blanky and watching the entire series of The Way We Were on DVD I got from the library last night....AF is here  which explains why I CBA.

As i've seen the Ik*a word banded around a bit i'm going to write about another banned word. Anyone who doesn' like the Chri****s word look away now!
The house is looking better and smelling clean! I'm going to set myself a little challenge now....i've got lots of bits sorted for christmas but they're 'here and there'.
So....i'm going to sort through a drawer a day (and anyone who remembers when I broke my wrist just how many drawers I have in my bedroom has a very good memory!!). I may do more than one drawer a day but I will do at least one. Anything not used since last clear out goes. Any rubbish goes. Anything I consider as junk goes....you get the picture.
Then, i'm going to start sorting out the christmas gubbins and actually wrap it so it's ready. I will not shop after 30th November! I refuse!:rotfl:
First things first. I've got £50 of vouchers to claim from a shopping monitor site so i'm going to go and decide which ones to get.
Speak to you later xx

Please can I have a STAR as I've done my list!!! Although reading what people have said on here I think I'll be even better and clear through my makeup bag this evening.
I did manage to clear OH's wardrobe and drawers and threw away loads of tshirts with holes in!!! Then I unpacked for him! We've only been here 2 months! School run calling, then gym, then home to clear makeup!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
I can't believe how many of us were googling what Soappie had mentioned - actually...yes I can!!!
Probably no more than I would have done if the hand had been on the other keyboard.....Soappie had a teriffic view of The Red Arrows at the Great North Run on Sunday (I climbed up OH's scaffolding onto his roof ) but I saw them and thought of you
Glad you enjoyed them and that at least you had a smile on your face when you thought of me
Dog and I are off out on a foraging walk now. I need cash and some bits and pieces of foodI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

my mum was talking over a pandora bracelet where is a good place to buy a nice one rather cheaply!!
when i looked a month or so back they were either megabucks or lucky bag standard!
3 hard strips of paper on ceiling and lunch cooked and eated and cleared up...rest of the ceiling is easy now
I don't think there are cheap ones, I wouldn't trust ebay unless the seller has receipts etc.
We went for the genuine bracelet and then got the charms from a cheaper place as posted earlier.
Link-it are similar and amazon have some lovely ones on there too.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

No, my brothers son. his poor mum is refusing to see anyone at the moment.. too much to get her head round I guess and having to deal with the other 3.
Apparently he was hit by a lorry coming out of Asda at about midnight when he popped out for crisps and chocolate. The driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Triker.. a cuppa would be grand but we appear to have germs at the mo which I think may be the very last thing you need!!!
On the christmas thought.. I just got a flower fairy dance DVD thing for DD3 and 14 bags of chocolate coins/santas xmas puds etc and a huge tub of sweets for one of them.
I have also decluttered a little dress and a little blanket thing from my room to DS1's former GF who had a baby girl (5lb 9) at the weekend.
3 of the children and OH have 'confirmed' SF (as in speak to quack and 'yes those symptoms sound likely').. and I have developed a nasty tickly cough and a sore throat so it may well be my version of it lol.. I have a wonderful immune system really... so only 3 more of the children to get it and it's been through the entire house.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
