It was our last day at this MacMillan House as we move to a new building this week so there was loads of people there today including previous volunteers and staff. ther was a 'harvest' thanksgiving service which also covered the work done by the staff there.
We all got a stone from the grounds and had a few moments reflection to 'pass' our thoughts of that place and our journeys in life into the stone and then the chaplain collected them and is going to make a small 'cairn' at the new building so that we feel we have taken 'something' with us.

that sounds like a a really nice idea:T:T

Hahahahahahahaha i know your watching me grrrr:mad:

    Hi all,

thanks for making me feel welcome and for the support.

At one point I didn’t think I’d get round to anything, but I still managed to

    Tuesday ~ Bathroom
    Level One
    Clean loo, clear bathroom floor
    Level Three
    Clean mirrors
    Empty bin

    Extras
    1. Tidy and wipe window sill in bathroom
    2. empty all bins for grey bin collection on Wednesday
    3. wipe DS2’s bathroom stool
I also: emptied and re-filled DW, started WM, put leaflets into 500 or so newspapers to help DS1 with his paper round (the local free rag), made breakfasts/lunches/teas/smoothies, found clothes, listened to DS2 read, S&Sed the part of the kitchen I cleaned and tidied yesterday.
Time for a break now, then back to bits I need to do for paid job. About an hour’s worth, if I put my mind to it.
Oh, and I’ll have a look at tomorrow’s list.

    Goodnight all.
  • Just popped back on as i forgot to tell you that I had a lovely text from natty to say they were having a nice time - at the time they were in a place where no cars are allowed and there was only donkeys pulling traps and she had treated herself to a fab new coat.

WTG froddy with the squashes - you can do loads with that!

    night night all
    toots xx

Jo AFAIK = as far as I know xx
    Peace will be mine

  • quillion and mummy - hope you had a good day at Ik**, wish we had one near to us
boddy - The whole day was set up just for DH so all the stunts they pulled were to catch him out and no-one else . He found loads and nasty ones like the intubation tube, they'd split the inflating balloon on the end, I mean thats just nasty. He's just miffed that they beat him.
AnW's mum - thanks, I old him to write everything down but he'll just bury his head in the sand for a while
carol - sounds like a good night you had
rosepink - hope you feeling better
elly2 - sounds like you have a handful. My little bro had the same with his step daughter but they couldnt physically try and get her to school as she used to have them arrested for assault!!!
zaraelise - sounds like you need a hug, hellsbells too
wilf - thats a massive amount of books you have decluttered
pigpen - sounds like one h3ll of a day again
hex - Ive told hi to contatc the union again but he was very poorly represented last time, hence why I'm now going to start trainin as a rep at work!
greenbee - I had my tyres done while at work, its a little extra but so worth it
mudbath - Hope DS is ok now. Hugs for you and sleep well vibes for tonight
boddy - hope you get some news soon, its soo exciting
hollyh - well done thats a big weight loss
toots - Thanks x As for DD, I made her make her own lunch this morning and hoover up when she came in from school (oh and to stop her watching telly while she did it I removed the fuses from the TV last night and they wont be going back until she starts behaving) Dh had a go at her at teatime and reduced her to tears so we had a little chat after he'd gone to work and she has been very helpful tonight and has done what I have asked of her almost as soon as asked. Went to bed on time and I havent heard a peep from her since. :T:T Sounds like you had a lovely day at the MacM house but I bet it was quite sad too. :grouphug:

Right thats as far as I got so hugs to everyone else and I'm off for a wander then will have an early night methinks. The finances can wait I've paid the urgent ones :rotfl:

    TTFN Kaz x
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Had a nice time at my reflexology appointment. Have made a waxing appointment for monday so that I'm respectable for work!

I'm not sure whether the personal trainer will be expecting to see me in the gym tomorrow morning or not... and she'll be asleep by now, so I can't really call her to ask. Does that mean I have to go just in case?

I've eaten supper (noodles with chard, bacon, tofu & egg), and have managed to clear quite a bit of space in the kitchen. I have cakes defrosting which I need to make a start on covering tomorrow morning...

    There's too much to do!!!
