Evening everyone. Went to the fair at mums home and it was lovely and sunny. DD came and mum had a good time. Went to see the new babe this afternoon and she is doing well. Ive come home and swept the back yard and cleaned the gutters out.

Have received my last pay slip and Ive only been paid enhancements for August and no basic pay. Im sure that cant be right as I worked up till the 28th which is when I retired. Will get onto them on Monday.

Dusty Happy Anniversary to you both.
cyclingyorkie Happy Anniversary to you both.
Toots Sending healing vibes for your nephew. Hope they find out whats wrong.

large glass of the blue for me please.

we didn't do any plastering as we went out all day instead but we have stripped a big bit of rough sawn oak down to a lovely piece of shaped and finished wood ready for the cloakroom - looks wonderful and well worth the effort (and the ludicrously expensive woodworking equipment DH 'needs' to achieve the desired end result). Bodes well for my kitchen cupboards!

those are verrrrry pretty glasses Pen

I am now all clean and I shall wear the perfume DD bought me (5th Avenue) - I have also had Davidoff Cool Water from ma and pa. Ma said she saw the almost empty one I left in the dining room table (aka the hotspot - so all flyladies know why it was there, obviously) and thought I was hinting! I wasn't I was filling a hot spot LOL

Oh! I have a Wii fit.

Fancy a little mutual Wii fitting?? Let me explain...

I have decided *DRUM ROLL PLEASE* that I am going to have to give up the wine:eek:
I know I know... something you lot never thought you'd hear!!!:rotfl:

I have good reason(s) Firstly, I drink a ridiculous amount of wine most, if not every, night. Without going into detail it has become a replacement for a nasty habit I used to have over a year ago. Problem is, I seem to have replaced one bad thing with another and feel it is getting a bit too much!!

Secondly, in the year (ish) that I been drinking all this wine I have put on something like almost 2 stone:eek: And Ive had my light bulb moment today regarding this and clicked that with all the calories in wine, this is where the weight has come from. Now Ive always been a meaty girl (you know, not too big but not skinny) until I started this other bad habit, when I became so skinny I was 9 stone of skin & bones. Now I dont want to be that skinny again, but I do need to lose some of this excess padding. The only way to do it is to give up the HUGE amount of booze I get through.

So... No more wine for a while, after my razzle up with Valli tonight, AND I will be dusting off my Wii fit to help myself along a bit ( OH is talking about getting a rowing machine, but Ive told him that's just pushing the boundries of reality:rotfl:)

Could use someone to keep me going on it Valli, so if you fancy a bit of mutual support...

    Sorry to ramble on...

now, on that note... who fancies a glass of soon to be forbidden rose???
