How would an Au-pair affect my Benefits?

Until my marriage fell apart a few months ago my husband was my primary carer and my teenage stepdaughter and son were also living here so there were always people around. Now it's just myself and my 2 yr old and, although I have an emergency button, my care package from SS is nowhere near covering me for most of the day…

Can't give any advice - just to say I think you are doing a great job and all for the benefit of your child - I cant understand people of who post on forums when they have no genuine interest in the topic or can give help. I suffer from a disabling condition and couldnt manage without my DH and 2 DC - so I take my hat off to you and good luck getting your Au Pair and benefits sorted out asap.
