Vodafone charges

I upgraded my phone in September 2008 and have just realised Vodafone have been charging me for a Mobile Internet service, which I did not request at the time of upgrade. I have requested that they give me a full refund but they have refused and offered me £20. They say I should have disputed the charges earlier but I haven't looked at My Account on Vodafone web site for some time. I have noticed extra charges on my bank statement but presumed they were due to additional calls.

Can someone advise if Vodafone can get away with this or do I have to accept the £20 offered. FYI, the total cost I am trying to recover is ~£73.

It may be that you have accepted the contract by paying the monthly charge? It just might be that it is down to good will, if Voda offer anything.

I can not understand that you do not know how much you are using your phone? as it is easy to check. If you think these charges were extra why did you not check? Paying for this long seems to suggest you were happy?

I can understand you being unhappy if you feel you are paying for a service you were unaware of.
