Can someone advise me of the major differences in O2 standard and premium packages. I am aware of the monthly pay differences - just that am not quite sure which one to opt for? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

the premium package is a higher speed broadband..
but remember , if ur line does not support the higher speed then u r just wasting ur money on the premium package.
i m on the cheaper package cos my line only supports up to 2mb

if your speed estimate is more than 8mbit and you want to get a higher package do so otherwise just get the normal one

Do have a look at the o2 website itself as it's clear in spelling out the variations between the packages.
Tho DO remember to sort out cookies before going back later to sign up and blag cashback!
They are BOTH ADSL2+ packages, the Std is capped at 8Mbps max SYNCH.
The Premium gives 100 more online SMS/month AND 3 licences to McAfee.
It's also currently CHEAPER than Std due to the 75 quid cashback - remember the Quidco £75 on Premium will run out at close Monday (tomorrow) tho TopCashBack may continue.
