Go to reunite.org it will give you all the info re; trying to prevent an abduction and more. Please get to a solicitors asap. My ex was a solicitor and he was from a country that has no treaty with GB I fully understand your position and never fall for the promises, reasonable/plausible pleas. They are masters of charm when it benefits them. Best of luck as convincing the courts etc of your fears and not being a spiteful ex is testing. Whatever you do dont let him know what you are doing just do what is the best interests of your children. I will be thinking of you .olympic challenge week 6 = $414.70:j

It sounds like a horrible situation. You must be so worried. However, try your best to keep your head, follow the great advice already posted and with a bit of luck both you and your kids will get through this in one peice.
Please let us know how things are going (if you get five minutes between courts & solicitors that is)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Helen , kids dont have dual nationality as far as i know (!) but am speaking to consulate tomorrow and will take steps to prevent him getting a passport for them, if he hasnt got them already !
does anyone think its possible that a foreign court can give him custody (obviously they will only hear what he tells them) without me being involved?YNWA JFT96 :A0 -
I am so pleased that you got in touch with Reunite. In times of distress it is so hard to know who to turn to. If I can help, please get in touch via website.

Thankyou all for your support and excellent advice xxxxx
It's been a hectic few weeks to say the least!
Things have settled down now ...mainly because of all the good advice I got here and also from my solicitor and Reunite. With the proper knowledge in hand (!) and a few tricks, I faced upto ex and after long long discussions(and frankness) things are much better. The divorce will go through in Bosnia with my consent and knowledge (thanks to my solicitor here) whilst the financial and family issues can only be settled in UK as kids are British and my property is here.
In the meantime he is seeing kids on the understanding that our 'problems' should be seperate from his relationship with the kids. And....guess what???? he is even paying money to help support them........what a bonus!!!!
So thankyou all again and I now return to making ends meet thanks to all the other wonderful threads on this site (I didnt say he was paying much!)YNWA JFT96 :A0
