    How much time do you actually get to spend with him during the day anyway if he's at activities then does prep etc before coming home, I doubt if you spend more than an hour or so together before bed.

    If that is the case then maybe a weekly boarder would be a better option for him, if the travel is taking a toll on him. If you can speak to him each night (either phone or msn) would that make it easier on you and his brothers?
