Well you can see many threads about cpw/mobiles.co.uk -best to avoid if you dont want high blood pressure I suspect.
Look on the credit check failures by cpw as a blessing.
As I say try the other retailers, phones4u have been good as far as I am concerned, including their sister companies dialaphone, mobiles2yourdoor. They have less range in phones in recent months but still better.
If you can get decent reception with Three, you could get a 6 month contract with three I think (cant find link), last I looked they began at £9 a month tariff.0
