The whole virgin package?

I was opting for a recordabl dvd with hd and going to pay BT £25 per month for the cheap call package to use thru the day reduced calls to mobiles etc.
I recently left Sky after a lot of problems with boxes not working and new ones failed to deliver and then the offer recinded so as I was out of contract I gave notice. I also have no current mobile provider (my mob provider was also my isp) I need to sort something out and was thinking about getting a basic Virgin media package with a recordable box, broadband and phone thru the day (6am to 6pm) they also offer a £15 per month mobile with unlimited texts and 400 mins - I know I am in a cable area they provide, but not sure what the mobile signal is like locally. I am not sure if there are any offers on at the moment via topcashback (had a look and not much going on) I wondered if anyone could advise me of a best way to sign up.
I was previously going with o2 but as I didn't top up the new pay as you go mob and give them a mac code in time they have disabled the phone and I assume never proceeded with my original enquiry re broadband. I know I won't need a mac code for Virgin but just wanted everyones recommendations please.
