Haribo Junkie -just seen your post - what are bullaces? There's a road in a nearby town called Bullace Lane, so i guess they used to grow there!

  • Afternoon peeps!

Didn't think I would get outside today as it was cloudy all morning but then around 1430 the sun came out and it became a gorgeous Indian summer day.

So, I just spent the NICEST three hours in my garden in the sunshine planting primroses into the tubs I took the summer bedding out of, and potting up all my new baby lavender plugs into pots and putting them into the greenhouse so they can recover. Even though they were tiny they still smelt so gorgeous. Thanks to the generosity of a fellow MSE-r, my bank will be covered in lavender next year!

I picked about 40 more tomatoes too, and it's amazing how different the varieties taste, and even the shades of red they ripen to can vary, it's fascinating.

Hope you all enjoy your Saturday evenings, I am looking forward to Strictly of course!

  • Am cream crackered. Took kids for a long walk over local fields (on is growing Christmas trees in them which DS just loves), popped up to Sainsbury's, popped round to my mums and watered all her pots as she's on hols, fed kids, cooked and stripped a chicken, made a load of bread and put the vac round the house.

And I still want a beer and have got none?

I know this sounds stupid but I've got a girlie night out planned for October 24th. But I really want to go out now. All my mates seem to have something called a social life and at the moment I just don't feel my life exists beyond this house and the kids. My H has been out with some old school friends a couple of weeks ago and he's going out with them again next week - why am I the only one who seems to be stuck indoors because everyone else is busy :o

Just wanted to send you a big big hug and it's Ok to feel stressed and tired and to want to go out and just be 'you' and not just someones wife or mother. Maybe you should arrange something sooner for yourself? If not a night out then a couple of hours to indulge yourself in some way? You certainly deserve it.

Hi everyone...we had no electricity from 9am until 4.30 today....notified but there was no pc, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, so nothing was really done.

DD3 arrived at about 5 with a seven week old border collie for OH....he is delighted and has sat ever since with Kerry (as she has been named) under his legs asleep....have no proper food for her until to-morrow and have not yet introduced her to the cats...not looking forward to that.

DD3 also managed to come up with a ticket for OH to go to the All Ireland (Gaelic football) with her to-morrow, he hasn't been at one for over 20 years I think so he is looking forward to that....Kerry and Cork so he will naturally be cheering on Kerry.

Nice quiet day planned for myself to-morrow, may even get the bedroom sorted and all the washing done.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everybody, hope that those of you not feeling well will recover soon
