I'd leave the bacon out (I'm not veggie), thats just a fancy receipe.
Seems abit of a waste of money to add Bacon to Macaroni Cheese.0 -
Oh I just thought..you can get bacon flavour bits in the supermarket (near the dried onions, dried beans etc) and I am sure some of them are veggie. Possibly full of e numbers though.
And I will admit now that I am a veggie who never liked bacon mainly due to the texture!
Oh yes, I forgot about those... are they called Bacos? They are def veggie. I wouldn't put them inside the dish, but sprinkle them on top for a good smoky bacon flavour
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Having done a freezer audit today, taking up space is 8 spicy bean burgers and non of us like them!
Is there anything else I can turn them into other than fox food?0 -
I've found some in mine this morning as well (shall we start a club?
). I was thinking of mashing them/breaking them up and stirring them into some of my basic tomato sauce (spag bol/chilli etc base) and chucking them on a bed of rice. Hoping it would end up as some kind of weird spicy bean type chilli affair or something.
I may, however, just give them to the dog!"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

crumble them up with any mince meal on a 50/50 prorata, that should bulk out the meal without over powering with a flavour your not keen on.0

Post them to me I love them :rotfl:There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0
