Learning to cope with the shortcomings of those you care for is an essential for a happy life IMO.
(frankly I think you get the point across better with the humour than the anger, but, we walk our own roads and make our own choices). I like a bit of twaddle.0 -

Your use of "Ya" and the context reminds me of a documentary I once heard about.
The interviewer was asking some scandinavian blonde what they did in their spare time.
The woman responded "Well, in the summer time we go fishing and have sex"
The interview said "Oh, what about the winter time"
The woman replied "Well, there is not so much fishing done"
