Whilst I'm slightly proud of some of my more witty moments on here, I don't think any of my posts will ever be as funny to many as the idea of house prices dropping 70%.0 -

Quite right and for this reason I felt a referendum was the only responsible course of action. I posed the question to the good citizens of this forum as whether Cleaver is nicer, more civilised and more intelligent than Macaque.
Cleaver got no votes at all. I call this a ringing endorsement of the Macaque legacy.0 -

I ''know'' cleaver. I'd vote or him but I don't really know you, so feel unable to make a vote in that wording.
Cleaver is nice, civilised and intelligent (and generous and funny and lots of other great things.) (but mewbie is my hero). Who is the man behind the monkey-mask?

So then after the 'next leg' of the crash I presume Barclays will be happy to have these houses at 90-100% LTV on their books?0

Why would they care? The UK Government has made it clear that they have an open ended commitment to the banks and will use any amount of future tax revenue to bail out any bank that requests help.
Until banks can go bust again there is no particular reason for the banks to worry about whether they screw things up.0 -
