But, as Primus is a CPS service, you could always use the 1280 prefix to revert back to BT anyway.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I am currently using Just Dial which has been taken over. Do I need to give them notice before I sign up with Primus? Or will Uswitch do the switch for me directly. Please advise.0

I am also changing from Just Dial to the Primus offer. As far as I am aware Primus will contact Just Dial (or whoever it was that took over Just Dial) to tell them that you are changing. Once we have contacted Primus/Uswitch, we just have to sit back and wait for it to happen!!0

I am trying to convert from Just-Dial Saver (now TalkTalk) to Primus. When I phoned Primus I was told I needed to get in touch with TalkTalk and ask them to disconnect the service. It seems though this advise was incorrect and now I have to wait for the service to revert to BT before I can enable CPS with Primus. BT advised me that Primus should have handled the whole transition.0

IF you were just on CPS with JDS (i.e. were still paying your line rental to BT), BT are absolutely correct. The 'receiving' CPS should handle everything and there should be no need for you to contact the 'losing' CPS or BT.DavidS wrote:I am trying to convert from Just-Dial Saver (now TalkTalk) to Primus. At the moment, you have a BT landline, Tesco CPS and Tesco BB.
Switch, and you'll have a BT landline, Primus CPS and Tesco BB.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
