I searched around and couldnt find the Thread about the Primus & Uswitch offer as in Martins Week Email.
Are you tied in to Primus for so long if you sign up?
Plus if you dont use the £15 a quarter worth of calls. do u get the money back or is it simply money off your Bill.
Am I right that the comparison site will only pay the Quartly Money for 1 year?
I was gonna sign up to Primus this week and its great that this offer has appeared

I think it is a good offer but wanted to check that you can still use 18185 etc. Also note that there is a minimum call charge of 4p per call. Would you get charged this when using 18185 etc or are these completely free excluding the charges you use for 181850
-
what is 18185?
To be honest I would very rarely make Calls anyway.
I thought it was free weekend n evening calls, so how can it b 4p per call?0 -
The updated offer is explained here by MSE
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1095003038,99872,
Full details of the offer can be found here.

Lee.
https://www.18185.co.uk is explained in MSE article also.
4p applies to chargeable calls only
Their is no min term. But if you dont keep it a year your lose some of your credit.
No its not cash back its a credit on your bill.Which is applied to your bill quarterly for one year only.
FL.
Its only a CPS service so you can use 18185. Primus would not charge you 4p as your be bypassing their network. However your still have to pay 18185 connection charge of 4p.PF.0 -
In the offer it states that there is 4p minimum call charge for non-free calls. Other providers such as Talk Talk do not charge this. I still think it is a great offer because the £2 rebate can pay for any mistakes I make where i don't use call18185 in the day/for mobiles (or the husband makes).0

Yes i am aware of this.
Basically if you make a non-free call eg peak rate, mobile, ngn they will charge you a min call call charge. 4p is for calls to landlines. If your calling a mobile the min call charge is in fact 7p.
If you use direct code ovveride services like 1899/18866/18185 or BT 1280 to get cheaper NGN rates. You will not be billed anything by Primus as your call is not going over their network.
Think about getting an Orchard Dialler it does all the routing for you.Worth its weight in gold.PF.0 -
Martin's tips forgot to mention that you could have Primus' all inclusive plan (ie all geographical calls are included in tariff cost) for just £3.49 per month for 12months.
See this thread here for more details (please ignore Martin's update that the offer closed - it's open again for May only).0 -
Dont forget to sign up through the links in Martin MSE E-Mails or Posts. The revenue recieved goes to support this great site.PF.0

Can you sign up to the Primus Offer through Uswitch and Quidco? You can get £14 by switching your home phone provider with Uswitch if you go through Quidco.
Marvellous if you can do both but something tells me that you wont be able to use Quidco and still get the £15/qtr cashback and £15/qtr is obviously better than £14 one off payment.
Can anyone confirm this please?0 -
I didn't do it that way but I've heard of others who have.Murray wrote:Can you sign up to the Primus Offer through Uswitch and Quidco? You can get £14 by switching your home phone provider with Uswitch if you go through Quidco.

Doing that does not, of course, help this site (which using Martin's affiliate link to www.uswitch.com does).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Yes you can.the £15/qtr cashback
You get money cashback from Quidco, but the £15/qtr from Uswitch isn't a cashout. You get it as calling credit on your primus account.0
