    i use Itunes , as you can choose the lossless encoding option and get better sound quality .

    it is only worth doing this with new songs when importing from a CD , as converting a existing MP3 into lossless format will not restore the quality that was lost when you compressed into MP3 in the 1st place .

    using this will also mean that you get less songs on your Ipod . however seeing as you have a 160GB classic , you have a long way to go . i am currently on 2500 songs with a 80GB and have loads of space left .
    Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
