Is the Iphone 02 exclusive deal coming to and end and will other Networks get the 3GS

Currently on voda and I think my contract ends in a couple of months and I'm tempted by the Iphone.

I've been told 02 employees has a limited friends and family list which entitles 30% discount on tariff so am tempted on the £35 contract down to £25 with discount with Iphone.

But I've read the exclusive contract is ending, so will other networks capatilise on this and hence resulting in better offers all round?

The exclusive contract has been due to end for 9 months now, it's been rumoured to be ending since January.

It might, it might not, the people who know within Apple and o2 won't say anything and anyone else is just speculating.

I also heard that iphone tarrifs are excluded from discounts, but I'm not sure if thats general disounting as opposed to the f&f schemes.

Friends and family discounts can still be applied to the 3GS, it's just the 'Open'
discounts which have been suspended (eg McDonalds, Lloyds etc)

T-Mobile were distributing iphones (3G not 3GS) to high spend existing customers but they've stopped temporarily.

I dont think O2 will have a hold on them for much longer.
