And now im convincing him to let me get some gerbils, £20 from a girl at work hehe.

EA when you say gerbils never ever, NOT EVER, believe anyone, not even the most celebrated gerbil expert in the world when they say "yes, I am certain, they are definitely both males/females" I ended up with 47 of the unsociable nipping little barstoods this way. Also when they have babies you can't clean the cage out properly as it upsets the mother/parent bond in the worst way (think gerbil infanticide) and then you have a house that smells like farms for a couple of months! In the same way, my ex housemate ended up with 20-odd hamsters this way (I did warn her of my experience first and she said no, no they are sure they are both girls) half of which disappeared into the skirting board never to be seen again, the other half we had to confiscate because they would have bred again and she wasn't feeding them.

Fidget, have hope! I've dropped a phone down the loo before and *thankfully* it functioned fine after taking it completely apart (so back off, battery out) and letting it dry overnight. Just let everything dry very thoroughly and don't rush it.

Yeah they do tend to stink at the best of times and don't know if you've had them before (I had but obviously hadn't learned my lesson:o) that while they are pretty nice to look at occasionally, they don't like being handled, they rip the cage apart during the night with their teeth which is very noisy and they are just asleep all day every day. If you've got a few in a tank (they rip the seal off fish tanks too) you have to find somewhere to put them while you clean them out which is a giant pain in the bum. I used to put mine in the bath but they are VERY good at jumping! Oh I've had many a nightmare about hundreds of them hanging from every major artery in my body *shudders*.

In a minute I will have the anti gerbil-bashing council on to me!:rotfl: They're very nice but rubbish pets. Not that I'm trying to put you off EA! ;)

Beenie you can reverse the payment on your paypal account and then say a big sorry to the guy and you won't owe paypal anything.

As far as I'm aware you don't have to contact the bank at all.

Haha its ok, i hate hamsters cause they bite your fingers off, they stink and they are noisy and just annoy me. lol. So let the hamster council come and hate me while the gerbil council hate you :p

To be honest the reason i wanted them is cause OH wont let me have a yorkshire terrier :( and cause the girl that is selling them seems to be selling alot of things recently and seems to have loads of animals, so i felt bad for them lol.

We already have a kitten and a goldfish, and are looking to buy more goldfish soon hehe x

Beenie - no offense, but if I were the seller and you did that to me, I'd be royal p!ssed off, as you bought it in good faith and would have no reason other than changing your mind to back out of payment. I know they can't leave negative feedback, but the principle is there. Sorry I'm not trying to be mean against you or anything, but buying a thing off eBay is basically entering into a contract and you pulling out is breaching that.
