  • Nikkit72 - thank you - yes i could get an appointment with the GP, hopefully for tomorrow, i just kind of took the midwifes advice and even though i thought it was crap advice was going to stick with it until my 1st midwife appt on Tuesday coming. Just OH and now my brother too think it is outragious that they have left me not knowing anything either way.

I explained to the midwife i hadn't passed any clots whatsoever, the bleeding stopped sunday night and hasn't returned at all - just i got weirdly ill yesterday. I still think i am pregnant (well i am but you know what i mean, that bean is still alive) just it would maybe be better for my sanity to know for sure and also check that the bleed hasn't come from the placenta or anything dire. Annoyingly you need to be reffered to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit by a midwife so thats why i called her. :(

I cant believe my booking in appointment is this Monday - it seemed ages away when I got the info through post. I think Ill be about 8wks then and just wondered what will happen at meeting.....I dont suppose we will be able to hear HB then - it would be nice to hear it. Im also overdue a smear and wondered when I would get this done??

Not sure if anyone's answered this as I am just catching up, but I am due my smear this month and when I phoned up the number on the letter and said I was due 1st November they said they will write to me again in March.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D
  • No - unfortunately the hormones can stay in your body for up to six weeks - i googled that too. I think my morning sickness is confirming that for me but apparently that can stick around for a while too :( I will call NHS direct, the EPU is only open early in the morning for appointments from what i have been told so will probably get in there quicker that way.

My annoying thing is there are just 2 midwives in this town (tiny area) so chances of ending up with the same midwife at the EPU clinic in Ebourne is pretty high...now i know that shouldn't bother me but i am kind of scared of meeting her and her knowing i have ignored her and gone above her head - I bet that sounds really stupid!

Mmm just had a cheese & onion pasty from Greggs, DS had sausage rolls :p

Dominos has 50% off a £30 spend from Monday, think i'm tempted, and it'd last me and DS days lol! Does it keep well in the fridge for next day?

edit - has anyone seen fidget today?

We're having dominos on that offer! Thanks martin :money:
Yes it does keep well in fridge, you need to microwave it until its very hot and its still just as yummy :D

We sometimes have it for breakfast lol.

Well im home now, still no news from fishcake :p I wrote on her facebook, but last activity was at 15:25 yesterday, farmville. lol.

Kitten is all snuggled up on a cushion that is on my lap, but it means i have to sit at an angle at the desk or i will crush him

MGEB - *sticky bean vibes for you* If the MW is there and says anything just say that you were concerned for the health of you and your baby and you wanted more advice. I hope you get into the EPU tomorrow and all is well.

Damn cat! He's pushing my hands from the keybored as im typing and not stroking him :rotfl:
