Hi ladies, new here, have been on the TFaB thread though...i didn't know where better to post this and just needed a bit of advise really. Now before anyone says why are you asking for medical advice here, well i have spoken to my midwife who seemed less that helpful and told me to stay home and prepare for a miscarriage as there was nothig else i could do.
Here is the situation: Saturday i got very overwhelmed and stressed out (my 3yr old freaked out and had a tantrum in the middle of a ballet rehersal, there were about 150 people in the hall even though i kept my composure and delt with her well i was really stressed and fuming inside). I got home about an hour later, calmed down, went to the loo and i was bleeding quite a lot, bright red, like 1st day of a period. I balled my eyes out, called the midwife and got no answer.
I bled until late sunday night when it stopped. Called midwife again monday morning and left a message. She calls back late in the afternoon and i explained everything. Her reply was There is nothing you can do, if you are miscarrying you just have to sit it out. Stay home and bedrest! Nothing else.
I was surprised to say the least, i would have thought she would have at least called me in for a check up. I was reffered by receptionist at GP to have a scan about two weeks prior due to pink spotting. All was ok there apart from a cyst on my ovary.
Now being 3 days on i have been left not knowing whats happening, no more bleeding but i had a weird bout of temperature, vomitting and diarrhea (sorry if tmi) and i blacked out yesterday. Today i have been fine apart from MS coming back with avengance.
I have just spoken to my brother and told him everything, he thinks it is out of order and i shouldn't be left not knowing as that is more stress than i need right now.
Can anyone give me a second opinion - btw a&e is about 2hrs away with all the train changes so i don't really want to go and get moaned at for wasting time or not listening to my midwife who told me to stay in bed and sit it out. But i will go if i am getting the same response my brother has given.
Many thanks in advance.
Sorry for the downer on the mood, i just really need some help as i feel in limbo. x
Edit: Oh forgot to add i am 9wks today.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
