If anyone is after cheap materinty jean then i just got these delivered. they only have grey left in all sizes and they are a bit too long for me really being only 4'10 but for that price i will keep them then ebay them after. I will have to hope they shrink a bit in the wash.
The are from the same company as simplybe, fashion world, J D Williams and Naturally Close so i googled simplybe codes and found a 20% off code and it worked.

I cant follow the link, but i have a credit account with simply be. Do you think that will work on them? x

It should do EA, I've bought from them using my Marisota account before.

lou - I figure this year is the perfect excuse to keep it low-key (and we're skint so it's good timing). Won't be at work, so that problem is solved. My dad's coming over here after baby is born so he can pick up his pressie then - and we figure we'll go see the ILs shortly after baby is born so they can get their pressies late, too. So the only thing I'll have to post is for my sister and we're pretty much sorted. People won't expect big expensive gifts as we obviously have more important thigns to focus on! I'm really looking forward to it, as this will be DH's & I first Christmas alone (usually with 1 family or the other).

Oooh i just remembered i had to ask you ladies something, i was thinking about it on the bus this morning.

I want to breast and bottle feed (with expressed milk) and i see something that said if you intend to do this you need to introduce the bottle before baby gets to used to the breast.
Well i also read something that says not to give a dummy to a baby under 1 month as this interferes with BF.

Wont giving the bottle do the same?

And if i were to give a dummy, would it still need to be after a month once BF and Bottle feeding have been established?

    Does that make sense? :D

Aless Thats what I was figuring, really in two minds what to do about xmas pressies and the day itself as oh wants it to be just the three of us if bumpers here, where i would want to be with my family as i hopefully would have just given birth. So not up for doing much indoors. Also i think i should get my own way because the other day he was doing a crossword and the clue was ( Walks like a duck) and he had gone and wrote my name in , Ladies it was worth the walk to greggs, but now just fancy some tomatoes this baby fancies things I dont like
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

Tell me about it! I hate tomatos but since being pregnant i eat them instead of throwing them away. At once point i bought tomatos just to sit and eat

I also craved oranges for a week, i cant stand oranges.

But now im kind of craving lemons, and i love them :j

Bear in mind that this was years ago (DS is 7 now) but I remember being told not to express for about a week after birth as it can affect the amount of milk you produce, then after that it's fine. My DS has his first expressed bottle when he was about 3 weeks old. My friend breastfed exclusively for about 6 months and then when she tried to give her DS a bottle he wasn't having any of it! I think it's best to get them used to a bottle sooner rather than later, but not too early IYSWIM. Not sure on dummies, not that keen on them but did try DS with one out of desperation a few times (he had horrendous colic and wouldn't sleep!) but he preferred his thumb.

Hoping to BF again this time, gave up when DS was 4 months as I wasn't making enough milk and he was waking up for a feed every hour  but generally loved doing it.

lou - whatever you decide, you prolly need 2 plans...1 for if bubs is here already & 1 for if not. PERSONALLY the last place I would want to be when going into labour is someone else's house! But if family is close enough by that you could still get to the hospital easily then maybe you wouldn't mind this. If you decide not to go to family's, then I'm sure they will understand and tell them you will arrange a 'belated Christmas' to go over maybe a week later to exchange presents & such.

My MW told me a funny story last time about CHristmas births...she was doing a HB for a couple that had planned on spending Xmas Day at their friends...well she went into labour so they came home to have the baby. Problem was since they had planned on being away, there wasn't a pint of milk or slice of bread in the whole house! MW laughed that she didn't mind working on Xmas but worst was being absolutely starving for the like 8 hours she was there!!! I told her she should've made the hubby go to the corner shop for some biccies or something, hehehehehehe. Moral of the story is keep food at home if don't want a grumpy MW, lol.

I really dont know when to start buying nappies :(

I think I am waiting for the spare room to be made into a nursery lol then I will probs go inot buying overlaod lol

My thinking was to start buying early, and just get a few at a time but this is to ease the financial situation when bubs arrives. Also to use all the different discount vouchers, deals etc that you get by joining the various clubs and getting the different packs. So long as you at least have a pack for when baby is here it doesn't really matter when you get the rest :)
