My PC and Laptop both connect to my Router's network by ethernet and wi-fi. No need for ISP supplied software.0 -
It's usually easy enough to copy CD/Dvd software onto an SD card, where it can be installed on the netbook. Another option is to map a DVD drive on your desktop as a network drive which you can then connect to via the netbook assuming your netbook and desktop are connected to a router. For most things you will never need the dvd writer drive, so why have it
