apparently she has given them his details 3 times but from what I know of her she's prob filled in the form wrong or something.

I hav suggested going to the CAB but the sister is away for two weeks now.

What gets me is she was going to pay £120 towards rent but only have £90 to pay and had no other money. The son who gets top ESA had no money last night either and he pays !!!! all towards the rent, he spends most of his time at his girlfriends (read other post to find out about her) and is prob spend all his money on her flat & paying of her debts!

    UPDATE:

So the sister went away for two week so her JSA was stopped meaning the HB was also stopped, this was actually a good thing. She went into the council taking all documents with her and they finally admitted they hadn't been loking at the brothers JSA claim so they have written of all the arrears!!! Not sure what is happening with the HB yet, I'm assuming that there will be deductions for the non-dependents but not sure yet. I am hoping that they will get refunded any rent they have paid which wasn't needed.

She should start insisting that the son starts paying towards his KEEP - ie food, electricity, water, heating - even though the rent situation has been settled.

It's not doing anyone any good if he gets his benefits, doesn't help pay his way at the address at which he is registered, and then pays it over to someone else who is also receiving benefits ......it becomes fraud!

Since 28th September the Son has spent NO nights at the property. He is meant to be paying the untilities but he clearly hasn't as a bill came asking for £121 (or something like that) he was meant to be paying £46 a month & also a letter stating that the new DD will be £123.

That is high but manageable between 3 people but yesterday a meter was put in for the electrics and a card has already been received for the gas. £10 on elec yesterday was £8.31 this morning. The sister is like 'we have to now turn off lights when they are not needed' etc but is sitting there in day light with the light on and then last night sitting in the living room with the laptop on in the kitchen!!!!

You talking about fraud, this is why I'm not a fan of the sister or nephew. He is using the address to claim benefits and so the girlfriend gets all she can etc etc and there doesnt look to be any change with the sister when she gets married next year, the partner works full time so apart from the CT reduction & her probably not being able to claim anything, why can't she just move in!!!!!!!!! She says she's looking for a job but can't see it really. I don't understand why she wants to live apart and pay more towards bills!

    This is good practise anyway...
