They didnt say the 1990's was the top of the market. Even hamish admits he bought at the top.
oh really?Hamish bought at the top of the market twice, once in the 90's and again in 2007.
Well buying in 1990 certainly looks like good business from here. Similarly 2007 prices will look like a bargain in 2025. So what was the point exactly?0 -

Historical trend projected based on conservative assumptions on economic growth, housing supply and demand and general inflation.
If you don't believe house prices will have risen relative to the absolute value at the "peak" then you need to find a wholesale tinfoil supplier.0 -

Carolt and others have been pulled up by us several times in the past for them wishing impending doom on all OO's and LL's at the beginning of the latest house price correction.
Hope you've all had a lovely week.
My little one started big school this week, so forgive me if I've been elsewhere...been a big week for us.
Astonished to come back and find myself the subject, unwittingly of part of this bizarre thread.
I've never posted attacks on owner occupiers - not quite clear why I would - though you'd have to be slow to realise that BTL is not my favourite thing.
I like Stevie, ISTL and Really too.Whether or not they are bulls, BTL etters, or whatever. Hell, we're all people.
pickles dear, you need to get out more - it's a lovely, gorgeous, sunny day here in my part of the woods.
Hamish, you also need to get out more, if posting threads gloating at other people losing 200K is your idea of fun.
So have I missed anything this week? Any more threads on which I am named and defamed?
Any more regulars posting pics, which I missed last weekend?
Or just more of the usual?0 -
