Hi all.

I had a contracted phone on the 3G network on a 18 month contract. At the time of purchase I also had the Lifeline insurance policy that covered me to cancel my 18 month contract after 6 months if needed; this is what I did.......... LAST DECEMBER

Now, I put a claim into Car phone Warehouse last December and it was accepted, as part of the claim they retained the mobile number, handset etc.

Lifeline insurance have not settled my contract with 3G and they keep saying that they are having problems with 3G and its NOT there problem, but I have cancelled my direct debit, 3G are threatening me with court action because of unpaid bills and Lifeline still give me the old crap that’s its an on going issue and its 3G that’s causing the problem.

I have placed a claim with the financial ombudsman service and they are looking into it, but I feel the insurance company that Lifeline use NTI (New Technology Insurance) of Dublin Ireland are not registered with them.

So.......... were do I stand?
How can I get my money out of Lifeline because as I see it they are under contract and I have asked them to pay me and I pay 3G, they said NO WAY!

So HELP.

I just got off the phone not 3 mins ago and I had 1 chap who put the phone down on me, 1 whom said he could not find my account and 1 that says that its an on going issue.

I asked to be put through to a supervisor and manager and they said none around bye............ beeeeeeppppppp!

Anyone thinking of going with The Craphone !!!!!house and Lifelies please be careful.

Any comments or advice or even any legal chap here willing to help me out cos its doing my head in.

Regards,

Brian

Have you been in store to try and get it sorted? With you there in front of them they have to do something.

My partner returned his phone under lifeline in the same way (he and I both worked for cpw at the time) about two months later we got a cheque as goodwill for £20 saying that there had been problems with accounts with 3 being disconnected (there had been, but an area email was sent out a while ago telling us in retail it had been fixed) - we'd had no problems, but took the money anyways :)

Like I say go instore if you can, get them to call customer care for you, take any bills/letters with you, they should understand and get it sorted. Good luck.

    Hi,

Been there, done that and sent the details off again 3 times from the store and still I get the same old story.

I have place a complaint via the Irish Ombudsman service and they will be looking into it.

    Thanks.
