Connect multifunctioner to wireless connection?

Well that is pretty conclusive that it shouldnt need any extra hardware.

Yes a 10 metre cable is fine, network cables of that type can be 100 metres long!

Please buy the cable over the internet otherwise you will be fleeced at PCWorld. At worst, use collect@store with pcworld.co.uk, so you get some discount, but can still pick it up at a local store.
