I have just completed the last puzzle- my best entry was 4 attempts with a time of just over 6 mins. Not too sure if that is any good

Well, you got me well and truly beat (and another person above). I took my time, made notes and got it in 6 attempts, 12 minutes. I don't think I could have gotten it any faster without a bit of luck! I just wish I'd realised it was based upon the number of attempts in earlier stages :)

Just very lucky really- (made notes as well). We will see how it goes but I enjoyed doing the comp anyway. I would be happy with winning anything to be honest :D

The slider puzzle was really vexxing me ! Found a good tip though. Just concentrate on the top 3 to begin with and work your way down after that.

I think I have a lot more to do to catch up with everyone !

The slider one and the maths ones were the hardest for me. I just kept clicking and hoped for the best. They took a while but finally got there :) Looking at others' attempts at the grand prize puzzle, I won't hold out much hope of winning LOL

4 attempts is pretty good - my best was 6 attempts in 6 minutes :( this one didnt help that my pc couldnt run it properly so it was very laggy

Did you get lucky and have a lot of them already in place for you? Again on this one I lucked out big time - most of mine were red on the first go for all three of my tries - never mind
  • I think the final Cryptex is simply down to luck... Its RANDOM how many letters it gives correct to start with. On one of my attempts I got 1 to start with but another I got 4...... so I guess someone may get 5,6,7,8 or even 9 ?????

this is a poor way to end such a cryptic game !!!!!!

In my best attempt I initially had 2 start with, then 6 but several were in the wrong place. I agree alot of it is down to luck

I got Hugo, Cocteau, Newton and Da Vinci, but I'm bloomin' stuck, and my wife will be home soon, and I've done nothing but search the internet trying to solve this damn puzzle. Help .....please, anyone
