ok, I've finished the puzzles (eventually) and just used my first attempt at the final code-breaking thingy. I did it in 1min 14 secs and took 21 attempts apparantly. How does this compare to everyone else? I still have 2 goes left but decided to use them later. I have to say that I'm not really sure what I was doing with it

I love this competition though, wish there were more of them around

3,4,4,4,1 and then I'm missing maybe one or two numbers but they end with 2,4
so count how many numbers and see where the gap fits..sorry
This will not work as the symbols keep changing, just geep pressing it will click eventuallyHe who laughs last thinks slowest.
I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.
Why do Americans sing "Take me out to the ball game" when they
are already there?0 -
Does anyone know - is it the number of attempts or the time taken that counts for the prize games?0

I believe it's the number of attempts, and then if there are too many people with the same attempts, it goes to the time taken.0 -
I think the code is different everytime! I tried your letters and it didn't work. However the first clue should actually read Voltaire. So if you change those letters then you can work out the rest.SDP wrote:PLEASE LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU DONT WANT TO CHEAT:rolleyes:

I heard that the main prize has already won by someone in the states because they got the final piece of the puzzle before we did
I don't know how true this is but it would be nice to know if i'm wasting my time (with no chance of winning) or not (wasting my time productivly!)0 -
According to press release on Eurostar's site:
http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/business/about_eurostar/press_release/02_05_2006_the_search.jsp
The winning player from each country "France, Belgium, Great Britain, US and Australia/New Zealand - who solve the Grand Prize Puzzle in the fewest attempts will go through to the Grand Final in mid-June"
Although it also says that the Grand Prize Puzzle will be released on 25th May? I thought that was the one we have done with the numbers on the dials/cryptex?
I know it's not me anyway!! Hope it's someone from here!0
