Thanks OP. Unfortunately i have to miss this one as good old Tesco are behind the times and dont accept Electron payment cards online.

what a faff! i was away from the computer for some hours (computer was shut down so everything was 'fresh' when i tried again) and this time it now would put the item in my basket but when i tried to login it wouldn't even let me do that it was the same error as before, however if i clicked on my account it acted like i was logged in already and displayed my name etc but wouldn't let me do anything else , very odd

anyway i got very frustrated and opened another account (i've only ever bought groceries from tesco once and nothing else so it's not like i've done anything to be 'banned' in some way or something!) this it liked and it let me get to the payment stage then it kept getting hung up on the visa (it's a maestro!) verification thing that actually comes up normally as mastercard/clydesdale password needed (it kept insisting it was visa?!) anyway after 4 attempts i FINALLY managed to get that to work and finally i got the book PHEW!

thanks to the OP once again, not your fault the site is being weird but what a palaver!

thank you SOOO much. I have wanted this book for ages (yes I am a very sad 27yr old!! ) but couldn't justify the price.........good job I make myself a stocking every Christmas :j
