INQ1 Mobile Phone - Good or Bad?

I am due a renewal on my 3 contract next week and use Facebook a lot as well as internet browse.

I have been looking at the £18 texter plan and will more than likely go with that.

I have been looking at the INQ1 phone and see that general magazine reviews are excellent, but some reviews here on MSE are indifferent.

Can I ask people who have used the phone to please add details of good and bad reviews here so I can gauge whether to accept that phone, or not!!

Thanks in anticipation:T

  • If you want to use facebook & internet you will need an internet add on if not included in your plan. Although it is built into the phone, it is not free like Windows Messenger is.

My DD has one and likes it, but doesn't use it for internet stuff much.

It's a good phone but there are a couple of new handsets out in the coming weeks- my pick would be the INQ Chat 3G which is like a Blackberry but weighs in at £120.

Thanks eljmayes, will look into that phone and see whether it is available as cannot afford the money.

What a minefield this all is....

I'd be shocked if it isn't available on a contract as it's INQ's flagship phone. Also have a look at the Nokia 6700 which is a very capable phone in the price bracket.
  • Thanks for all the advice guys and I think that the INQ1 is a good choice for phone; I have seen articles using 'You Tube' and it appears to be a good phone.

Will just find a tariff to suit now and the Internet Texter for £18 seems too good to be true, so roll on Monday and my upgrade unless I can try to get more out of them......come on MSE followers, what can i ask for?

Hmm, I had the INQ1, and I had a lot of problems with it freezing when it was trying to load up porgrammes (like WLM, FB, etc) and it REALLY got on my nerves, so much so that I took it back to the shop, got a refund and went onto vodafone with the 5800 instead
