Has he cashed the cheque? you need to go into the branch and ask them to check if it has been presented for payment.
Do you have insurance? if you do get onto them asap!

We paid £400, we owe £395 which is to be paid the week before the wedding. The photographer was a present to us from a family member yes

We have no money to get a new one

Chel, don't panic (yet!!) photographers have just finished their busiest time of the year, we are not meeting the photographer until a week before the big day. Do you have an address for them? Maybe worth popping round to fix a date to meet and discuss the photo's you want. I find people who work on weddings tend to forget what a nerve-racking time it actually is!

You said you paid him by bankers draft, a bankers draft is where the bank take the cash off you and write a cheque from thier own account to pay. If you done this the bank can check if the cheque was cashed for you.
if it was just cash then yeah theres not much you can do.
As others have said dont panic yet!

I wish i was, seems everyone is on a mission to make me feel like sh**.

I hope to get most of it done by the end of the weekend, if it gets to monday and it's still all to do you can boot me from here to the moon

shoes for my flower girl
need to finish the flowers
pay photographer and give him a list of photos we want
i need undies!
and loads of other teeny things

Do you know where you're getting the cake from?

Shoes, underwear and little bits, can you get them over the weekend?

Have you rang the photographer to see if you can go and see them over the weekend to settle up?

I banged some music on and got stuck into my flowers, maybe do the same or do them while watching TV, that way you don't have to set aside some time to do them.

I had loads of little bits like that to do and buy, but finally got them done this week, apart from the only 2 jobs which were OH's (men eh!), which were to drop the music list into the DJ and drop the CD and copy of reading into the reg office. (How hard is that, especially when he drives and I don't! :cool:)

He's dropping the list into the DJ when he finishes work, but he's not going to be able to get to the reg office till at least Tuesday, so I'm gonna have to haul the baby with me and do it first thing Monday.
