  • I bought some red toe post mule brand new for when my feet want away from the heels - brand new £3! You can't beat it. Had never used it before we booked the wedding!

Not my wedding day - just a normal day for me! Got to wait until 30th Oct!

Oops sorry! Well I hope you have a great day on October 30!
Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.

Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j

My H2B would have been panicked if he had seen it! I mentioned to him we get married next month and he went white!

I will have a good day. It's going to be just as I want it! Thank you

    Hi guys

This is really silly but I can't get hold of anyone to speak to!!

I had my dress fitting this morning and two of my bridesmaids came with me. It actually fits really well, except the length, which I knew. The only slight problem is that I have that slight "bunching" on my back at the top of my dress - if you know what I mean. I don't think it's a major problem though.

But oh I don't know. I love my dress don't get me wrong, but I have self esteem issues. I'm a size 12 but I am very petite indeed!! Of course all my bridesmaids are taller than me - even the 11 yr old is the same height as me!

Anyway, we came back and the bridesmaids tried their dresses on and they looked lovely. Too lovely!!!

My OH also flew out to las vegas today for his stag do (and I'm not worried about that as such) but I miss him terribly and feel like i've lost my soul mate!!!

Anyway, I got home, went into town and I just feel like bursting into tears.

I know it sounds selfish or whatever but I'm so worried that I wont look as lovely as I want to on my wedding day or that I'm trying too hard or something.

One of my bridesmaids hadn't seen the dress before and they all coo'd over it etc but she also said it was nothing like she expected but that she loves it!!! I know that's not a negative or bad thing and they both said they loved it but I don't know. I felt really special in it and loved it at the time; I think it's just coming home to an empty house!!

I don't know what I'm worried about, but I feel so alone!

I don't want to bring the mood down on here as I am so looking forward to marrying the man of my dreams and spending the rest of my life with him; but I guess it's just dawned on me that everyone will be looking at me and expecting me to be beautiful!!

    Thanks for listening/reading guys :o

    xx

But you will look beautiful!! Even if you think you don't (on the day), your husband will and it's only him that matters :)

It's probably everything getting on top of you that's making you upset, the wedding is so close, your OH has gone away, and you're not that happy with the fit of your dress.

Everything will be fine, so please try not to worry. You WILL look stunning, every bride does! I think it's just that happy loved up glow and smiles brides have on their faces ~ I love it! :D

Hope you feel a bit brighter soon xxx

Ah thanks Shell. I'm feeling so much better now. I think you're right it's given me time to think and being all alone at the moment. It's made me realise how much I miss him and love him sooo much!!

I'm going to continue doing some small weights which may or may not help.

Thanks for just listening, I think everything had just got on top of me and have since spoken to my sis-in-law-to-be and that's helped too!!

Oh well, not long now - 5 weeks tomorrow!!

    xx

  • You will look gorgeous Cara - there is no doubt about that - your h2b will love you even if you turn up in a bin bag!

I keep having dress woes - not helped by the fact that my mum said - it's typical bridesmaid, always the bridesmaid never the bride! I know she didn't mean it like that but it has put me on a real downer on my dress. I keep saying I'm fine but it does bug me. It doesn't help that the mil has had a sneaky look - and keeps dropping sly hints about it.

We have just had 2 people - who had rsvp'd to say they were coming to the evening do - say they aren't coming she has booked a holiday. If they don't come there will be atleast 3 other couples who won't come. We have had loads who haven't rsvp'd even though we set a deadline of 24th August! Got about 60 for the evening do at this rate - some party that is going to be!

60 is still a good number, i was at a party last year in a big hall with only 50 people and it was a fantastic night! as long as the people who are coming are going to dance then all will be good.

as for your dress i know how your feeling, my mum slated my dress when i first showed her it as she was jealous i took mil2b dress shopping and not her. ever since i have had major doubts but my dressmaker keeps reminding me how i felt in the sample. you will look gorgeous.x.x.
