A police officer pulls over a speeding car.
The officer says, ' I clocked you at 80 miles per hour, sir.'
The driver says,'Christ, officer I had it on cruise control at 60, perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating.'
Not looking up from her knitting the wife says: 'Now don't be silly dear, you know that this car doesn't have cruise control.'
As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls, 'Can't you please keep your mouth shut for once?'
The wife smiles demurely and says,'You should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did.'
As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth, 'F.k it, woman, can't you keep your mouth shut?'
The officer frowns and says, 'And I notice that you're not wearing your seat belt, sir. That's an automatic £60 fine.'
The driver says, 'Yeah, well, you see officer, I had it on, but took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my licence out of my back pocket.'
The wife says, 'Now, dear, you know very well that you didn't have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you're driving.'
And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket the driver turns to his wife and barks, 'WHY DON'T You shut the f..k up??'
The officer looks over at the woman and asks, 'Does your husband always talk to you this way, Ma'am?'
'Only when he's pi*sed.'DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Hi All,
I am on day 2 AF at the moment.... Nervously awaiting the evening of the 3rd to see what it may bring!
I have been looking for a forum to chat with like minded people who want to either stop drinking completely or just to give their bodies a rest for a while so hopefully I have come to the right place,
To be honest I have been on the sauce now for the best part of 15 years, mainly socialising with friends (my whole social life seems to revolve around booze: A nice meal & wine with friends, the cinema followed by a drink somewhere, drinks after work etc etc). Anyway I have recently started drinking at home more and more; first started with just a glass of red or G&T, then 2, then a bottle, then a couple of cans and a bottle. On Monday morning woke up with the mother of all hangovers and decided that enough really was enough..... Got home Monday night after work and just collapsed I was so tired and it finally hit home that I need to do something before it really starts getting out of control.
I have put on weight over the past year and just feel (and look) bloated, so hopefully this will help loose some weight and get me feeling better in myself (I really do feel rock bottom).
Gave up cigarettes on the 22nd Dec so I know that I do have will power and just hope that I will stick to both! But I am pretty scared by it all really, after all booze has been my friend now for a long long time.
Your help & support will be gratefully received....
Mr Fox :wave:0
