The bear flu has got worse so I'm being a bear who stays indoors today :(

Incidentally The Bears Who Stayed Indoors is a great children's book :D

It's about a bunch of bears who live together in a house. One day it's raining so they can't go outside to play so they have to stay in & decide to go to into space. They build a rocket & make moon & star biscuits....

    But I won't spoil the ending :D

  • Hello again,

Oh I am so sorry, I cannot seem to post regularly! I have been so busy with my shifts and getting used to them and I just haven't got into a routine of using my time off efficiently yet! Note to self - must try harder.

Also, I have been caining the alcohol since New Year, unfortunately. It's a deadly combination of denial, not venturing on here enough, not posting here and not going to any AA meetings either. I've given myself free reign to drink and I really really must stop.

This is not the start to 2010 I wanted :o. I feel carp, my tummy aches and I feel miserable about how much I've been drinking.

Can I join the AF pledge for the rest of January, please?? I want to do the rest of the month totally AF.

As I've not been on lately, I don't understand the Ewok thingie, but they do look very cute! :D

I'm on a late shift for the next 3 days, so that's good for me, for not drinking.

    Hugs to all.

Hiya Caz & welcome back

I shall put you on the list immediately for 14

To be honest, I'm not that sure about the Ewok thing either! It started cos I made a mistake with a total & YM said something about me having the power to change time (or something). The words "the force is strong in this one" got used & lo, a Star Wars themed scoring month was born  :rotfl:

  • Thank you Honeybear for putting me on the list..........it should help to focus me and give me something to stick to.

Still lovin the Ewoks - whether or not there is a reason behind them!

    Hugs

The nice lady who sold me my tube ticket this morning said "It's nice to see someone sounding so happy on a Monday morning"

Maybe there's something in this AFness

    Nice one, Lurks :)

I'm not completely a bear who stays indoors I had to go to the village for bear flu-fighting essentials.

In case you ever need to look after a poorly bear, these are as follows:
    • milk
    • tissues
    • fresh bread
    • chocolate (nom nom nom)
    • Boursin
    • mushrooms
Not sure about the last 2, to be honest, they just seemed like a good idea at the time
