  • That will be 8/16 for me please HB and it's not even half way through the month yet. Must not get complacent though. This not drinking the day after drinking rule is working much better than the 0 I managed last January!
    Fingers crossed for you Fay.
Mice free wishes all round and sleep well everyone.

    What do you do Faye?

Here I am thinking about having a glass of wine and I know it won't lead to more than one, I don't have that feeling on me tonight, but I keep thinking I shouldn't.
Maybe if I chat to myself enough a solution will become apparent

While this post is too late (probably) I know for me and many others on this thread, stopping at one glass is either impossible, or so difficult that having one is not worth it.

On those rare occasions I used to control my drinking, I would be so miserable and resentful about having to stop that I was better off not drinking to start with!!

In a nutshell - If I wanted to enjoy my drinking it was out of control, and if it was controlled it was not enjoyable.

If you can stop at one drink AND be ok about stopping, then go for it. That isn't me or my drinking (never was, never will be)
  • Hi

Sorry just popped in, drinking hot choci before bedtime, and trying to catch up with all the posts.

12 AF days to report HB. Or should we call you Obiwan?

Hope everything goes okay for Friday Fay. Jo, hope you are okay.

Well done everyone, we are doing well for January I think.

Thank you HB for doing such a great job at scoring, I can't wait for another ewok.:D

Weight Loss is still coming off but has slowed down. Need to get moving about!! perhaps try swimming next.

    Hope you are all okay.

And so say all of us!!!

All the best HB for tomorrow

:Tfay, hope all goes as you want it with the 'bosses'. Is 'boogered' a particularly Scottish term:D I've never really got over how you can be treated this way when they should be supporting you rather than er...boogering things up!

I'm going to venture an opinion on the meet up. I agree that meeting for lunch/brunch is a good idea and a nice walk/talk after would be great. But I have no problem at all with meeting on licensed premises. Surely none of us would want to get legless on a meet up dedicated to this thread??? Pity the poor landlord who only gets orders for lime & soda or Vimto :D

Unfortunately, don't know if I can make it myself. (it like YM here I think) I'd love to but if I do I have to come clean to OH. He obviously knows that I've been cutting down (quite proud of me :o) but nobody knows I've done it through you guys. I've thought of making up an excuse but it seems dishonest and I can't do it. I'm also a bit scared (not because of wearing my slanket and woolly hat) but because ...well just because:confused:

Not AF tonight. I've been pigging it at a carvery with friends and a few drinks since. All planned and back on the wagon tomorrow!
