The cheap stuff from the off licence/supermarket, yes. I also think that licences to sell alcohol should not be given away so easily. Our newsagent now sells it !!!!!!.....

eta: AND you can ring up a taxi firm 24 hours round here and get a crate delivered!

Perhaps but we will always find a way to buy it. It was the same when I smoked " I will give up when it gets to £2.50/£3 a packet :rolleyes:. Got to nearly £5 before I saw the light.

I have sacrificed essential items to drink and if they put the price up maybe I would sacrifice more. It needs a social rethink to make youngsters turn off from the idea of that being drunk is a laugh. Its not but I have thought this in the past and here is the stage that I find myself now.

Edit....Had to get it the right way round ie on/off from the idea. I have only just got up you know

I think that day will come eventually.

I was going to continue with something deep, philosophical and political but I won't. Months ago I decided not to get involved in arguments about AA, labelling, stereotyping etc. They made me angry and felt very cliquey. It was that or leave the thread.

Meanwhile, sorry to hear about your problems jo, we'll be here for you while you work it out in whichever way suits you best.
