Miss P, that is bloody outrageous!

Unfortunately I also need to vent; (DON'T READ IF YOU'RE EATING) the mice got my chocolate coins on the tree. The coins were in a little bag & then in foil, a hole had been gnawed into the bag & some of the coins had been nibbled. I found the coins in a pot by the base of the tree just now. What's worrying is that I know those coins were on the tree the other day. There was no sign of any droppings round the tree when I came home last weekend & discovered ones elsewhere. There's been no sign of any droppings since. But if they've been at the tree coins & not left droppings that means they could be anywhere still & not leaving any signs so I can't tell

Feel stressed, worried, annoyed & incredibly itchy

edit: Squizz, this also means I've now taken my tree down earlier - sorry :(

  • Mice love chocolate - try setting a trap with chocolate as bait. :D:eek:

I'm not having a very good day either - Two of the dogs started fighting then the Doberman intervened and now the springer spaniel has to go to the vets to be sewed up. I foolishly I tried to part them and now have a bandaged hand too :mad::mad:

The doberman is a rescue dog that we rehomed earlier this year, unfortunately she has got to go again - we can't trust her with the kids now. She has never even growled at the children, but we daren't risk it. If it had been one od the childrens hands instead of mine, I reckon they would have lost a finger or too.

Its very hard typing with bandages :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is having a better day

HB - get yourself some humane mouse traps. They're like little tubes that the mouse goes in and then you can transport it. Take them a way away from your house and then let them go.

I've got a pest control officer from the council coming round this week so will see what they say before doing anything, aside from gallons of cleaning & keeping an eye on all taped up areas

BHB, sounds nasty, hon. I hope you are ok overall?

Miss P, gnash away - you've every right too!

Well, we're all having a day of it aren't we!?!?!

BHB - hope all is ok now??? Once dogs start fighting they get a sort of red mist so I'm sure the injury to you wasn't personal. Its hard to know what to do in those situations though...like you say, kids could have been nearby and that doesn't bear thinking about.

Oh yes, still love you lot.;) You're some of the most reliable people I know!!

No it definitely wasn't personal, if I thought it was I would have taken a shot gun to it by now ;)

Glad you still love us Miss P :D

    Aren't we just?

What's annoying me (aside from everything already mentioned) is that now I've taken down the tree & hovered & cleaned again, on top of all the cleaning already done, my flat looks so nice...yet I really don't want to be here cos I feel like it's a rodent-infested, infected hovel :(

Having typed that I guess it's perhaps a bit melodramatic :o
