  • Helloo!

Well I am back from the wedding weekend in Yorkshire. I'm tired and everything aches. I drank champagne, wine and single malts. I am very keen to get detoxed and feel good again!

So I won't drink now till next weekend and then only a small amount.

  • Hi saorsie:j
I'm a newbie to the thread too and want to cut down for much the same reasons.
I managed 3 Alcohol Free Days (AFD) last week which I've been meaning to do for ages and this thread did help. a mixture of reading others posts and writing when wanting to drink may help! So good luck:D
Am very jealous of all the lovely dinners that peeps are preparing. Tonight is quiz night which includes a chilli - it's good but not a roast.
Mixed bag this weekend and found that I drank a bottle and bit on Friday night (- not clever at all) but last night was more restrained.

Fay - like the seals, altho' the Cotswolds are lovely I do miss being on the coast.
Jo- hope the outlaws wasn't too grim but at least you know it's over and done with.
Hello everyone else and BB - the weather is pooh here but and snuggled up under fleecey blanket.

    take care xx

    Hey Dizzy

It's good to learn you're not alone and there is support out there. Spoke to a friend about this today and it was his suggestion really - he did say I couldn't roll-over my AFD allowance though if I had a particularly 'quiet' week and didn't use them all up - what a meanie! :rotfl:

Hope you continue with last weeks good work

  • GG well done on an excellent job!

Sitting here telling myself going out and getting a bottle of wine doesnt help anything.

It just makes things worse. Just heard my house is going on the market after new year (i rent) - which means I need to think about moving (again). Whilst I knew it was sort of on the cards for this year - it's still thrown me sideways.

Hope everyone is good, sorry to moan!
