Been to see 2012....my word thats a long film. The out-laws had Piglet and they looked shattered when we went to pick him up!:rotfl:Good film though.

  • Morning. Everytime someone mentions 'Squirrel' I smile. Those of you that have seen the film 'Up' will know what I'm on about.

Right confession time, I'm still on 14/29, two lagers each evening. And headaches the morning after, mild but nagging ones. I am clearly a lightweight now, so don't know why I'm doing it. Therefore I won't.

  • Morning everyone!

All going OK here. Had a bad cold and sinusitis this week, which I didn't self-medicate with Drambuie, instead caught up with some sleep and lounging around (I was signed off for the week.) I had to seriously exercise some self-control by Weds as I was a) feeling better by then, b) home alone all day and c) the offy was very inviting, as I can actually see it from our bedroom, but I resisted and as a result am feeling quite proud of myself :).

What I did notice was that at 7.30 am, when the rest of the family have left for the day, I had serious booze cravings, probably peaking mid-morning, which is strange because I rarely, if ever, drink before lunchtime, even at Xmas. However, as the day goes on, especially when I'm busy, it gets easier to deal with, and by dusk I don't really crave it any more at all, almost like I've got through the day safely. As I said, this is odd as I mostly drank in the evening during the week (I wouldn't risk pubbing it at lunchtime whilst working. too tempting to have "just the one more" before returning to work), and from the afternoon onward at the weekend, as I made sure I got stuff I had to do out of the way before my first drink. Being busy is a good displacement activity for me :D.

Anyway, have reacquainted myself with Ribena, with which I get my sugar rushes, and I'm sleeping better now. Hope everyone's well, and I'll try not to stay away so long this week!

    18 AFs for me, GG.

I'm still on 13. My next goal is to get rid of the finger wagger from my signature and replace it with an haloed angelic smiley.

    Best Wishes

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I love squirrels but I do have trouble keeping them off my bird feeder. It really is like this.
