:wave::wave: Good to hear from you again Budgie and fedupandsparkle. Sorry to hear you're still in a bad place fedup but Budgie I'm glad to hear Mr BB is more cheerful even if no good news on job front yet. MP you must be so delighted with Mr MP. What a turnaround from 3 bottles of whisky to a few weekend cans. Now that is serious cutting down. Good man :T
The weather here is appalling. Rain has almost stopped for a while but the wind is howling and shaking the windows as I 'speak'.
Been out to dinner tonight (driving) and took opportunity to have an AF Friday. As quaffing wine supplies were low OH offered to go and buy some for me to have when I got home but I said no thanks. He said he was proud of me
Have a good night all, hope you don't get blown away.
7AF please GG0 -

Just had my usual insomnia read over the pages I missed from today & just had to say
WOW JO :j:j - you are an inspiration !!! Your post should be on the front page of this thread as an example of how complex & destructive alcohol addiction can be. I so identified with you on so many levels
:o:o
I had to completely stop too....I am still in `recovery` & always will be I think. Totally addicted to lime & sparky water but hey at least I don`t get all the `side effects` of the alcohol.:D

Flying visit - going OK, still sleeping bad but have adopted Jo's fruit squash remedy for the sugar rushes and that's helping loads. And Jo, what a post yesterday - hats totally off to you for that. It was inspiring to read, and sorry I didn't have time to say thanks then.
Now off to spend the day with my lad, fishing (are we insane? yes, but a promise is a promise, and it's only a couple of miles from home, and a long way from a pub
.)

ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Morning all
Whooo, wind's picked up a bit out there
Been waiting for the last hour or two for the bad weather to die down as it's DS's 7th birthday today and we're off to my mums for another onslaught of presents
I think today will have to be renamed BEN 10 DAY, as everything he's got so far is Ben 10 orientated!
I'm then off to do a mystery shop in town which I really don't want to do as it's an indepth one for a large department store, involves assessing and talking to staff in womenswear, the changing rooms, the xmas shop, the cafe and menswear  usually takes me about 1.5 hours, but maybe I'll buy summat nice to treat myself as well
Anyway, off to separate the two littlest kids, DD2 wants to play with all of DS's new birthday toys and he's getting angry
Chow now
