BHB, I think 'scatter' may be what you're looking for but if you're going to be under a rosebush then maybe not much room for that and sprinkkling may be what you're at. Hope all goes well.

mrsdee, I think you're doing really well under very trying circimstances. I don't know the history but if they're stepkids then shouldn't your OH intervene, can he talk to the grandmother? All you can do is be supportive when asked and keeping sober is a fantastic way to help yourself!

    Have a good day everyone.

    .

Thanks Maman. We are both equally worried but they tend to confide in me more as I am not their "parent" I guess, and OH is working abroad this week. He has tried in the past to speak to the grandmother, during previous episodes, but she wont hear a word against her daughter. The mother is very depressed, and I am seriously worried she might do something drastic.
In any case, as you say, staying sober is brilliant when faced with carp like this. Just hoping this episode (of her bonkersness, not my sobriety) blows over sooner rather than later....

I have been considering trying one as it is now getting into " soup" weather. I think I would also like the element of surprise;)

    40SM:D

From what I recall you did with the last mug of soup, you already have an element of surprise :rotfl:

I hope everyone's not bored of the daily challenges?

Not at all - those 3 days last week were great & 3/4 of my score for the month!! Can't do it this week as out tomorrow, but will try bestest to be af today.

I've been going out a bit more than usual lately, & I drink far less when I'm out, eg in pub with other folk, - the chat & joking remove the "need" for loads of booze. It's nice, and enough, to have a couple of drinks.

Rambling - still not sure why I drink too much when at home alone....maybe it's a substitute for having company.
