    Morning :hello:,

    Well done WBF! Here__s_Your_Yay__D_by_Wooded_Wolf.gif

Non AFD for me yesterday. Goal for the week is to get a minimum of 4 AFDs and maybe 5.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

OK socks packed, all mindblowingly wonderful - thanks chaps, kitchen sink (check), (living sober book, check), (wellies, check), AFD'rs check :rotfl:

The updated list is here - give it a 'check' and make sure I haven't robbed you of any afd's :) all target dates absolutely negotiable as anyone having even 1 AFD is a superstar :) and deserves a lovely shiny gold star - watch out I may take stamps, cards and stars to NI with me for those long airport stops and stalk you all by post (well some of you anyway!!)

Any way I digress- list ->

So far savings/money not spent on alcohol are are:

    £1955.81/£2743.01
(not spent on plinktyplonk, bubbly beer, silly sangeria or shabby champagne)

    **********AFD's are 477/667*********

Keep me updated on the home stretch - you know you're worth it!!!!

AFD's = non negotiable = gold stars :D treat yourself to a few this week
AFD targets - can be changed for added motivation
Savings = :T well done cutting down or giving up every bottle not drunk saves your pocket, the planet (less 'immediate' recycling, fewer loo flushes :rotfl:) and keeps you healthier

  • Hello everyone :)

Finally got the 'puter to myself fro five minutes cos it's half term - up to 25 AF days now :).

However - can't stop thinking about Friday: big family do which will be a huge test. I've done OK in dismissing it from my mind up to now, but as it's within sight...

Don't get me wrong, my missus and kids are supportive, but they've made it clear that my struggle with the sauce has to be down to me in the end - I can't use other people as an incentive / deterrent for ever.

morning all. havent been on here all weekend as usual but just wanted to report in. have stayed AF all weekend despite slightly trying circumstances but feeling all the more stronger for that. anniversary of dad's death yesterday and big family do (not sad, just remembering him, which was lovely). Very worried about stepkids who called last week begging to come and stay with us due to their mother's increasingly weird and erratic behaviour - shouting, crying, swearing at them a lot and basically getting them to act like slaves around her. They've stayed with us, then she begged them to come home, all apologetic, and i've now had heartrending conversation with the youngest one who phoned me this morning to say she awful last night and has sent them off to grandma's and they are grounded, not to go out, see their friends, nor are to speak or visit us again for the foreseeable future etc etc. Very sad. Dont know how to deal with this. Her behaviour is very erratic and they are terrified of her when she comes home as they never know what mood she is goign to be in.

  • Morning everyone,

I did tons of work on my assignment yesterday and have nearly finished it, so I am very pleased indeed!

On a less positive note, I was so pleased with myself, that I drank a few voddys whilst preparing the roast chicken dinner last night - oops! So I stay the same on the AF list, Fay. :o

I've worked out that if I stay AF for the rest of the month, I can get to 23 AFDs out of 28 pledged, which means I haven't met my target for yet another month, but I am still pleased because 23 days AF is pretty respectable I suppose! ;)

Still not good enough - I want to do a whole month AF, but I can't seem to manage it. We all know how hard it is, but some of us are doing it, such as GreyPilgrim and Icelandicmaiden and Sea, amongst others. You are inspirational and I want to be like you and just DO IT!! :p Focus focus focus each day at a time.

I need to try harder and not cut myself any slack, which is what I've been doing.

It's a beeeeoooooootiful day today, so enjoy it everyone. I'm off to do some housework and then some more uni work.

    Hugs,
    Caz

  • Morning Peeps,

I had a busy weekend putting up fence posts and rails again. That Mrs BHB isn't half a slave driver. MP how did you get that whip to her

Was not too bad Saturday, but had 10 units last night. Double what I should have, but had one of those 'sod it' moments thinking well I've been out working all day, when everyone else is going out for the day or watching football etc. (Not that I like football, but you know what I mean).

    Catch ya later,

Now off to Sunny Chelmsford to 'sprinkle'(? looks for a technical term?) father in laws ashes under a rose bush at the crematorium.

    Have a good day
    BHB
