    Evening all.:hello:

Not AF tonight but I started watching that Horizon alcohol programme. What struck me most of what I saw was that some of the monkeys given alcohol were FAT:eek: Icelandicmaiden you're obviously not going to join them. 3lbs lost this week is great. Is it all down to AF?

jo you're doing brilliantly at 12, you must be so pleased with all the alcohol not drunk and money saved.

fay, you sound in a bad place with your children away. I thought you were being very magnanimous (sp?) saying it was fair ex had them to himself. Hope you hear something soon. Do they not have mobiles?

BHB, I so want you to succeed with your unit count. Stick at it!

Saw our first fireworks here tonight, sure it's Diwali celebrations 24 hrs early. I enjoy them but we've not any pets.

    'night all.

T2GU, wow that was quick, time flew this evening! I hope you had a good evening?

I was going to bed but decided to watch that Horizon programme on alcohol on BBC iPlayer. It was very interesting indeed. Watching him getting intoxicated made me feel ill, like it was me that was getting drunk. And watching the after effects of the pills made me feel queasy! God, it's really not worth it is it when you look at it from the outside

His last comment makes complete sense to me:

"I have an uneasy relationship with this drug, because in order to not get into difficulty with it, I have to think, I have to be aware of what im doing, I can never, paradoxically, I can never relax with alcohol, I have to be on guard....what an odd thing to think."

    "Is it really worth it?"

    Interesting......

    Hmmmmmmm

Please discuss........ (when you've all woken up of course  :D)

Not af tonight but knew that I would not be as parents have arrived for the weekend...how is it though that even though I knew I would drink tonight, I now feel really bad about it and sooooo wish I hadn't  I really think I need to think about not drinking at all, because I can't stand this guilty and let down feeling

    Mornng all:hello:,

I'm off to work today:o. Yesterday was a non AFD for me - I had 3 units. So my total units for the last 6 days is 7 :j. This is well within healthy limits of 14. Last week I had 40 units in a week:eek::eek::eek:

Anyhoo, planning to stay in for quite a few nights now (and watch X Factor lol) and hopefully they will all be AF.

Fay - I can't have alcohol in my flat because I will always drink it. If I stay in : I will drink it. If I come in from the pub : I will drink it as a night cap .

For all those struggling through th weekend

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Hello world.
Been very touch and go this week. But I made it through. 16/22, a total of 34 days in a row. Never done that before.
