Bought some hot choc tonight, it comes in a chunk of cadburys choklit, you warm milk in microwave then chuck a chunk in and melt it into milk. Totally amazing, think I got a new addiction!
Time for bed, hope we had a successful AF monday! Maybe we better declare tomorrow an AF tuesday, anyone up for that?!

Hi
Just popping on before Bedtime, been busy sewing this evening:eek: Kids costumes:mad: I hate it when the school comes up with yet another fun idea for your child to dress up and gives you 3 days notice:mad:
Anyway all done know, and actually worth it as DD will love it.

I'm not technically saving the money I don't spend on alcohol as I'm trying to pay off my overdraft and not draw any money out at all.
I am using my money for PAD's to my Overdraft - and if you are putting into your OD - your saving money you'd spent previously - so I think technically you are SAVING the money by reducing your debts
Its all pretty great which ever way you look at it - can amend you daily saving.............:)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Had a night out on Saturday and don't remember getting home. Peed on my bedroom carpet. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I feel sick just thinking about the horrid mess I was in.
Has led to 2 AF days though
Sorry I haven't been around. It's too difficult to get on at work now and my home life has been chaotic. Plus I've been so down in the dumps it's unreal.
Marru~ticked plenty of those symptoms. In denial probably. Although I'm pretty sure that if I kicked this drink habit in the bottom, I'd be fine!
Much love X Missed you all X
Accidents were my speciality. My floor, bed, couch, etc
All done in black out (so I had no memory of it)
That's where my drinking took me.
I need to remember that's what it is like for some of us alcoholics. We drink until we lose control of bodily functions. Any normal person would just stop drinking, and not touch it again. But no, not us alkies. We think it won't happen again, next time we will control it etc......
But alcoholism makes us forget, and tells us it WILL be different next time, and that I'll only have 2 drinks in total, etc
All baloney. So many people have written 'That's it, I am not drinking again' and they mean it. However they then go from 30 days AF a month, to 25 the next month, to 20 days, etc...and then they disappear from the thread.
I was the same. I sincerely thought I would stop drinking through will power alone. I was wrong
This disease gets worse not better.
I thought life would be fine if I stopped drinking. I was wrong. I drank because I couldn't do life well. If I stop drinking, life is still the same. I cannot change other people, so the only thing I can do is change myself.
I am happy and serene enough that I don't WANT to drink. No more 'fighting it', no 'bells', no more frustration about not drinking.
Everyone can have this if the want it enough
Good luck people0 -
Okay so here's my first question...
Do you tell people that you are quitting/giving up? I'm really worried that people will be odd with me when I tell them I'm not drinking
I know I shouldn't care but you can't help it sometimes! My workmates are very alcohol/pub centered people unfortunately!
Yep, IF ANYONE ASKS (you don't have to volunteer the info) I just say I am not drinking at the moment. If they ask more, I just say that alcohol and me don't have a great relationship and I find by not drinking I am happier. If they keep asking, change the subject. It's none of their business0 -
Got me an avatar:j:j:j:j:j:j.

This month is shaping up to be a good one for the AFers methinks, lots of pennies in the pot towards Xmas.
In bed, camomile tea honey and lemon, only went and put Manuka honey in by mistake:mad:,costs a small fortune, more a jar than I ever spent on a bottle of vino.
