Barclays Golden ISA - delcaration

I applied online for an ISA through online banking. The account is opened. It says they will send me a declaration for me to sign in 5-10 days time.

What is this all about?

Probably a form that asks you to declare that you haven't opened any other ISAs this year. Most providers do this by asking you to click a button onscreen. But why make things easy, eh?

    I guess so.

I hope they sent a pre-paid envelope for me to send the declaration/agreement. I assume it also prints out my details that I submitted online, for me to sign to confirm that they are correct.

Just transferred some money into my ISA, since it was opened immediately, after clicking the 'apply' button.

Would I still need to provide ID in branch? :o

Yes - most financial institutions require ID, unless you already have a relationship with them.

    I'm an existing customer already.

They'll let you know if they want to you to provide further proof of ID. It could still happen, but don't worry about it unless/until it does.

Just spoke to an advisor through an online chat on the bank website. They said that there is no need to bring ID to branch, as I'm an existing customer, and the account details are generated instantly.

They said they would send a welcome pack, along with T&Cs, and a letter about what I entered on the online form, so I could check if anything on there is correct/incorrect.
