  • Well, it worked. Slightly overcooked but ok. I had it with some instant mash. Real gourmet, me! :D I think I might've used a frying pan more this week than I have in my entire life! :D

Aaargh just looked at the steak I took out for tea and it's chunks. I'd meant to use that for a stew type thing in the slow cooker, is there anything I can do with it that's quick? I was going to have the steak grilled with some roasted med veg and little garlic jacket taties. I suppose I could always stick the meat in the slow cooker for tomorrow and find something else to do tonight.

I would - it'll be a bit chewy and not very tasty cooked quick. You need to write on your freezer bags:p

The veg & tatties sound lush though...

I know I do, but I've always found that when I write on them I can't read when they're frozen anyway!

Can you defrost meat or fish in the microwave? Don't think I've got anything else I can have with the veg and taties.

I was very naughty and logged on at work today (all access is logged and random staff chosen every month to justify any page on any site viewed) - good job I was in the office on my own this afternoon - I was laughing VERY loud at the photo of Little Miss Tango :rotfl:

Been playing with my new toy :D (no, Snags - not that kind of toy :rotfl: )

Ex finally had all his flood claim sorted and got the money for all the damaged furniture/clothing/record collection. They then sent him £500 voucher for the laptop (in reality pretty rubbish and worth about £50 -tops) and £150 for the camcorder (didn't work, circa 1992, I bought in 1995 second hand for £50).

He insisted on me having the £150 one to say thankyou for sorting all the water out/sorting the damage etc when it happened and he was away. So, I trotted off to Comet (it could only be spent there) and bought a really base model camcorder, a card to go in it, a george Forman grill and about £20 worth of AA batteries (again, no Snags, not batteries for those kind of toys :rotfl: )

It's really tiny and basic but will be great for taking away with me or filming Charlie.
