Orange livebox problems

Hi hope somebody can advise me as what to do next - have been a orange customer for approx 4 years moved house is July and got a new deal orange on broadband and homephone, had loads of hassle with homephone but eventually got everything sorted and up and running. I had a letter from orange about the livebox that i didn't understand and called them and they said not to worry it was about the old one from our previous house, i then asked if we needed to keep the old livebox as a new one had arrived and i was told that i could dispose of the old one as i was on a new contract with new livebox, this was back in mid august. Today i received a letter saying that if i do not return the livebox i will be charged £100 as it was only loaned to me. I called customer services and was told that there is nothing they can do as they have no record of my call on my notes! any suggestions as i am really angry that
a. they want £100 for something i was told to dispose off
b. £100 for a really old outdated piece of equiptment that i'm sure is no use to them.
your help would be appreciated as to what do i do next. Thanks

orange are a law unto themselves, CS awful and rude.
to save on stress and hassle, buy 1 off ebay, some going around £10 and post it.0 -

Still waiting to hear from Jonathan at Orange! Can anybody let me know how all these people are able to sell livebox's on EBay how come they haven't received the letter that i did. I keep getting outbid so they are obviously very popular to but. I am still angry with Orange and will be cancelling my contract with them as soon as I can. Beware the offer a appalling customer service as most of the reps cannot speak or understand English!!!0

I had terrible accounting problems when I finally moved from Horrange in August 2008.
I asked about my Livebox on one of my many conversations with Mumbai after my migration had completed and was "assured" that I would be sent a pre-addressed bag to return my Livebox in. 13 months later and I'm still waiting!! Fortunately my experiences with Horrange C/S have convinced me that they are totally incompetent so I have kept the old,obsolete Livebox packaged up in the garage just in case. This suggests that there are probably 100s floating around awaiting "pickup" which is why you can get them on e-bay!!!0 -
